I was born in Tacoma Washington and attended Washington High School in Parkland, class of 73 (to those of you 'doing the math' I'm 61 years old.).
I went to college in Spokane at Whitworth College, majoring in Speech and Theater. I did not graduate but, instead, left to become famous in Los Angeles.

Returning home, I have had 3 major careers in heavily regulated industries. I've spent 6 years in the banking industry, 12 years in the health insurance industry, and for the last 21 years I've been employed in the gaming industry.
I am married to Debra Hodge Buechler and together we have 6 children and 8 grandchildren.
I have lived in Kitsap County for the last 28 years; in both Bainbridge Island and Poulsbo.
